Jezebel and Tamera

At just over a year old, Jezebel is still a youngster herself, even though she's already raised a litter of perfect kittens while at the shelter. She was a gentle, tender, mama cat, and all of her precious kittens were quickly adopted and whisked away to homes of their own. No telling why this pretty kitty wasn't adopted, too, as soon as her kittens were weaned. She's an affectionate, personable girl with plush, bi-color fur and a long, fluffy tail. Jezebel would love to be someone's contented companion and lap-warmer for life. The other young mama cat who's surprisingly still at CHHS, months after all her adorable kittens were adopted, is two-year Tamera, a graceful, slender Hemingway kitty with tufted ears, big green eyes and short calico fur with white bib and socks. Tamera is outgoing and lovey-dovey, and she longs to be someone's boon companion and beloved buddy. Visit Jezebel and Tamera at CHHS today. Chances are, they'll be the first two kitties to greet you at the door of the catroom, ever-hopeful that this will be their lucky day. Bringing Home a New Kitty: Please keep in mind that the move from a shelter to a new home can be quite stressful for an adult cat. "Most cats take about two weeks to adjust to a new environment. But understand that each cat is different; some take a day, some 5 days, others can take up to a month to get used to your home" (http://www.nsalamerica.org/pet_talk/cat_home.html). A little patience for starters will be greatly rewarded in the long run, when the bewildered kitty who cowered under your bed for a week becomes a well-adjusted, loving member of your family. | |||
